I Am A Woman Born To Roam, Wild & Free

I love to roam—to wander at will.

The open road is my friend, and the call to hit the road is one that I cannot easily ignore. I have a bad case of wanderlust.

A gentle ache for all the places I have yet to explore. A desire for the intense connections I’ll make on the road. The scent of adventure on the wind.

You see, I was born wild. I will die free. In between, I wander.

In the words of Angelia Jolie, “If you don’t get out of the box you were raised in, you’ve no idea how big the world is.” Only by answering the call to wander can we expand our worlds, our beliefs, and our understanding of different cultures through the people we meet along the way.

I left behind my legal career and homeland of England in 2011 to begin again in Andalucía, Spain, where I embrace a different way of living and a life of wandering.

My wanderings lead me to the Camino de Santiago, a network of hiking trails that run throughout Europe, yet they are so much more than that. To walk a Camino de Santiago is to undertake a spiritual adventure and a journey of a lifetime. It is an opportunity to meet so many people from around the world.

I walked the Camino Frances in 2016 and Camino Coastal Portuguese in 2018. The Camino experience showed me a different way of living. So much so that upon arriving in Santiago de Compostela in 2018, I changed my life in a heartbeat to follow my dream of becoming a Camino de Santiago guide. I moved to the Portuguese Camino city of Porto and then onto the Portuguese Camino in 2020.

The Camino de Santiago is the perfect place to satisfy my thirst to wander and adventure while embracing a different way of being based on heart-centred living. A way of being that the Camino de Santiago teaches to all who walk the sacred paths.

So, if you hear the call to wander, or catch the scent of adventure on the breeze, is it time for you to pack your bag and wander? To expand your mind and see how big your world really is?

Go see for yourself just how blessed you are, to be able to experience being so wild and free.
