Santiago de Compostela Welcomes Pilgrims Once Again!

Yes! I’m back in Santiago de Compostela after walking the Leon to Sairra stage on the Camino Frances. What an amazing journey!

I last visited Santiago a couple of weeks ago after completing the Portuguese Spiritual route and the city was very quiet. At that time, the rain poured down for most of my visit so I can’t tell you how delighted I am to see blue skies.

Since then, the scaffolding at the front of the Cathedral has now been removed so the building can be viewed in all of its splendour.

The best news? Camino Pilgrims are back in the city! Santiago and the Caminos are well and truly open to pilgrims once again!

Buen Camino, peregrinos. Santiago awaits for those of you looking to walk a pilgrimage this year!

If you would like to follow in my footsteps and walk a Camino de Santiago, check out my book, A Wild Woman’s Guide To The Camino de Santiago. I share everything you need to know before you begin your Camino. Read at A Wild Woman’s Guide To The Camino De Santiago or click the link below.
